BACCHUS is a research-action system coordinated by the INRA of Bordeaux (UMR Santé et Agroécologie au VignoblE) and based in the wine-growing areas of New Aquitaine, which focuses on the dynamics of biodiversity and associated services in wine-growing landscapes.

This device is both:

  • a research tool that allows the production of scientific knowledge on the functioning of wine-growing landscapes
  • a platform that facilitates the development and implementation of innovative agro-ecological solutions in direct collaboration with winegrowers.

This agro-ecological engineering approach in real production conditions makes it possible to provide answers to the agronomic, socio-economic and environmental challenges raised by the actors in wine-growing areas.
